Since 2005 I have been advising organizations, institutions and communities in the context of migration, development and social participation. Together with the Diaspora Policy Institute I work for Amnesty International, the Federal Police, the Federal Criminal Police Office, the cities of Berlin, Mannheim, and Munich, among others. The aim is to establish global justice at all levels of society.

ANTIRASSISM & EMPOWERMENT ADVISOR, DIASPORA POLICY INSTITUTE - DPI
As a consultant and trainer, I sensitize Amnesty International, the Federal Police, the Federal Criminal Police Office, the German-European Forum for Urban Security, Global Engagement, the cities of Berlin, Mannheim, Munich and Berlin in the areas of anti-racism, decolonization and diversity.
As an empowerment consultant, I strengthen and support people, groups and organizations affected by discrimination in building up resilient attitudes, adopting constructive alternative courses of action for intervention and prevention in the event of discrimination. In addition, the focus is on strengthening self-confidence and appreciative access to one's own culture, history and identity.

PROMOTOR FOR MIGRATION, DEVELOPMENT & PARTICIPATION

POLICY ADVISOR FOR ACP MINISTRIES
Policy advisor at the African Diaspora Policy Center / The Hague (2011-2014) and DPI (2016 - today) for ministries of African, Caribbean and Pacific states in the context of the Migration - Development - Nexus. In countries like Barbados, East Timor, Egypt, Eritrea, Ghana, Guinea, Guyana, Kenya, Lesotho, Papua New Guinea, Trinidad & Tobago, Tunisia, I trained ministries for developing constructive migration policies. As leading project officer for the EU project EADPD, I was responsible for setting up ADEPT, the platform for African diaspora development organizations in 27 EU countries plus Norway and Switzerland (www.adept-platform.org).

Being able to be active at the international and local level at the same time has helped me to combine both realities in my work. International politics often collide with local realities. The direct cooperation with governmental institutions and civil society organizations helped me to get to know relevant perspectives and to make them part of my skills. This enabled me to acquire the skills to develop practical and implementable solutions for complex and abstract problems.
